My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in a cold December with our dog. It was one of the nicest weekends we’ve had. The huts are beautifully done up with everything you need including lots of board games and a lovely log fire. It’s nicely hidden away so you have complete privacy but Alicia and Phil are there whenever you need them. It’s also in a great position with lots of lovely walks to great local pubs. We’ll definitely be back.

We just had a wonderful stay at the shepherd’s hut in the orchard at Conies Farm. I must say I am still feeling relaxed, it is so comfortable and well equipped and the owners are lovely. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend a visit.

Where charm meets indulgence and seclusion. These stunning shepherd huts do all the pictures of them promise and more. This is the perfect place to switch off, unwind and relax, or for a family to come and experience the life on a farm. The warmth of the welcome from Alicia and Phil, is matched only by their attention to detail in the stunning shepherds hut, which are “glamping” in the extreme. Log fires, hot showers, fresh linen, wonderful breakfasts... simply one of our best Airbnb experiences

We can’t really express in words how beautiful it is here, it just takes your breath away! The huts are so cosy and you have thought of everything from detailed maps of the area with lovely walks, to games, log fire, perfect little kitchen and wonderful sausages! What makes this place extra special is not only all the wildlife we have seen and your lovely pigs and chickens but the hard work and dedication that you both have put into this farm, your kind welcoming personalities really shine through. Thank you so very much we have thoroughly enjoyed our break from city life.

We arrived to a friendly greeting and essentials in the fridge. Alicia has prepared a lovely information pack about the area and local walks and attractions etc. The huts are exactly like the photos, lovely and clean with those extra touches you would expect in a hotel. As we have two teenage children we could not use the bunk so Alicia had prepared a drop down bed in the dining hut which was a life saver and well used as extra space by the kids. The huts are set in a lovely orchard which is very private and fully fenced and gated so it was safe for our dog (he loved it). We visited lots of coastal resorts in the area which we enjoyed as well as a walk down the old railway route to South Water Country Park. We stayed for 2 weeks, but it would also be lovely for a short break.

We stayed at the hut for 3 nights in July in mostly torrential rain - but that didn't matter at all as the place was absolutely perfect! Lovely hut for sleeping and cooking, with a beautiful shower room - and then the dining hut with its wood burning stove, warm blankets and marshmallows for toasting. The orchard is beautiful, peaceful and even has fairies hidden in a tree at the end (a huge hit with our daughter)! Great location and we enjoyed visiting Petwoth for the antique shops and Horsham, which has the most amazing treasure trove of a museum. All in all we highly recommend Alicia's place and hope to return again soon.

Norfolk birder and grandmother to Violet aged 6 Magical and not just because of the fairies! Falling asleep to owls hooting and waking to the dawn chorus is my idea of heaven. Lovely huts, perfect hosts, brilliant weather, what more could one ask for!

What a lovely place! Exactly as described- feels like you're staying in the middle of nowhere but is actually easily accessible. The accommodation is great- it has everything we (2 adults and a big Labrador) needed. It was the attention to detail… tea/coffee, milk in the fridge, fresh bread and eggs waiting for us…that really made the difference. Lovely walks to the local pubs as well. We would love to stay again!

Unser Aufenthalt in the Hut war sehr schön.

Our stay at the Hut was very nice. Quiet, relaxing, a beautiful landscape with very nice and discreet hosts ... Four of us had to get used to the intimate space, but then we did not want to leave ... The accommodation was excellently equipped down to the smallest detail! At any time Alicia was ready to help us with information and fresh bacon and eggs :-) Thanks a lot! We will be back definitely! :) Franziska, Björn, Hannah and Lotti

Had an idyllic stay here in the shepherd’s hut, our little girl ran around so much and doesn’t fancy leaving! We’ll be back! We sampled the chilli at the White Horse after a lovely stroll through the bluebell woods and ate another day at the Black Horse - Fab!

Really exceeded my expectations! I treated my boyfriend to a weekend away in the country for his birthday. The shepherd’s hut is so well done and a bonus was the en-suite shower room which you can’t really see from the photos online, it has a good shower and large fluffy towels, heated towel rail and the bed was super comfy, we felt like we were staying in a suite in a 5 star hotel! We had a really great meal at The Crabtree and on the Sunday went for a walk over the fields to the White Horse pub where we had a couple of drinks in front of the fire. This is a proper gem hidden away and only an hour and a bit out of London, so really do-able for a weekend away. We will be coming back!

What a great place. Compact and bijou living has never been such fun!!! We were there over a really cold weekend and the main hut was snug. Everything is really well thought out and the fire in the dining hut was just a bonus!

Like the fairies in the garden, this place is small, magical and perfectly formed. Alicia has thought of everything to make the huts cosy, comfortable and special. The perfect place for a pre-Halloween stay. The children have loved staying here and the freedom to explore. Very comfy beds. Would recommend the walk to ‘The Crabtree’ pub for lunch and a pint. Thank you for a really special break - Idyllic.

P.S. Please look after those fairies!

and another P.S. if you look after the fairies you might get a note!

This place is exactly what we wanted from a short break. Lovely walks with the dog, lovely pubs, amazing scenery and tranquil. Alicia, thank you for being a great host and giving us advice on where to visit. The wood burner fire is amazing and comforting in the evenings, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We will all go away feeling refreshed and looking to book our next visit!!

We’ve had a lovely time! Huts equipped with everything we could possibly need, beautiful space and surroundings (and countryside) and such generous hosts. We loved helping to feed the pigs and chickens, and collecting the eggs. Thank you Alicia and Phil for your generous hospitality. We will be recommending you to others.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend. The hut has everything for a cosy and comfortable stay, lovely linen and towels add a touch of luxury.
Our two boys loved seeing all the animals.
They adored the piglets, but the highlight had to be seeing the birth of a calf!
AMAZING!
We will surely be back and will recommend Conies Farm to all our friends.

We’ve had a fantastic time!
The hut, farm and surrounding area are fab. So convenient for the Downs Link - we had a very enjoyable cycle ride down to Shoreham.
Thanks!

P.S. 10/10 for the breakfast!

The Shepherd’s Hut is so pretty and tastefully done with everything you need - lovely hot water and (for 2 very tall customers!) a very comfortable long bed.
It was fun having our breakfast by the open log burning fire and ‘The Windmill” pub the previous night had great food and a cosy atmosphere.
Alicia was very welcoming and definitely went “the extra mile” (quite literally!) as she even picked us up in the car and set us off on the right road as we had chosen a pub that was closed!
Many thanks. Hopefully we’ll be back!

A lovely Easter break despite the awful weather.
Thank you Alicia and Phil for letting us stay in this fantastic place. Everything was thought of. The breakfast hamper was gorgeous and the best eggs, bacon and sausages we have ever tasted!
We will be back, hopefully with better weather.
Thank you again.

A bit of a last minute adventure - Alicia you came up trumps! One of the coldest nights in 2015/16 (so far) and the hut was so very warm! Welcoming and perfect!
Everything you could want for a weekend (or more) getaway.
We will return with our 3 x children in the warmer months.
Best wishes

Opened my Xmas card on Xmas day back in Essex that contained a picture of the Shepherd’s Hut and the instruction - ‘be packed by 2pm’.
Arrived at Conies Farm at 4pm to the most magical Xmas. A warm welcome from Alicia - nothing was too much trouble. There are not enough words to describe this little gem. Warm, cosy and everything to a very high quality.
Loved everything about it - could go on and on - but won’t!
Would not hesitate to recommend to others and would love to come back.
Thank you for a wonderful Christmas

I booked the Shepherd’s Hut as an anniversary surprise for my husband. It is just perfect, cosy and snuggly with all the luxurious touches of a 5 star country house hotel bundled into a wee package, even better than I had imagined!
The walk across the fields to The White Horse pub was perfect to build up an appetite for a pint and a bowl of the delicious chilli that Alicia recommended.
We loved exploring the area, there are so many great walks nearby, we will certainly be back to explore farther afield!
Thank you for your kind hospitality

To me, Conies Farm is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places you could wish to stay. Phil and Alicia are so passionate about their farm and their total commitment to exceptional quality and farming best practice. This is reflected in everything they do; the dedication with which they care for their animals, the warmth with which they welcome their guests and the magical charm of their Shepherd’s Hut. Some of our happiest moments have been when we have been enjoying their generous hospitality (and delicious produce).

What an absolutely fantastic week-end! The Shepherd's Hut is just stunning and has absolutely everything you could ever want or need for a romantic week-end. From the bottle of bubbles and strawberries on arrival, the locally sourced cider, the fluffy white towels and the sumptuous bedding, the entire visit was exquisite! Not only shall we recommend to others, WE'LL BE BACK! Thank you!

How blessed were we! A weekend of sunshine and perfection. A very big thank-you for a wonderful stay, lovely warm welcome, nothing too much trouble. The shepherd’s hut is stunning with beautiful furnishings, a bathroom with all mod-cons and abundance of hot water and fluffy towels. Having spent the evening in the cosy adjoining shepherd’s hut where marshmallows were roasted over the wood burner, supper was created and eaten. After a fab day of country walking, food and wine our bed was calling, where we were immersed in luxury bedding and a superb night’s sleep, even listening to the owls before dropping off! A superb all round venture with amazing farm attraction (farmer Phil). Ideal for warm and cosy winter breaks, spring in the countryside, summer walks and bbq’s, autumn colour leaf spotting. Conies Farm is a must, thank you both so much, we will be back for another retreat very soon and will tell a few people (not too many or we won’t get a booking!!) Thanks again

Very privileged to be the first guests of this cosy hut! We definitely liked the local products we found in the kitchen. The hut itself is fitted with a very nice kitchen unit and bathroom, and a clever use of the space! Wish we had more time to spend here and enjoy the dining hut too…It means we will need to come back!

We spent a fantastic weekend on the farm. Our two young boys are full of energy and loved the space right outside the huts to run around, climb trees and we all thoroughly enjoyed a game of rounders! They were so excited to visit and feed some of the animals and were particularly taken with the piglets and the calves; new arrivals on the farm at the time.

The farm has a really relaxed atmosphere, Phil and Alicia manage to strike the right balance between privacy and involvement in the farm's activities, we were able to join in as much or as little as we wanted. We loved having the bonus of the 'dining hut' to provide extra space for eating together as a family. We will be revisiting for sure!
